I currently have XP Home Edition in Dutch preinstalled on my computer. I
have purchased XP Proffessional English Version and am ready to install, but
am not too sure of the correct procedure. Do I have to uninstall XP Home
from the Add Remove Programs before I try to install the new edition. Are
there any other procedures that I must follow to enable a successful
install. Any advice greaty appreciated.
TIA

Hi,

Just insert the bootable cd in your cdrom drive and reboot
your computer, setup will ask you if you want to make a
new installation and delete/format the existing partition.
Just format it.

Hope it helps...

To switch language versions, you will need to "start over." Move your
personal data to other media - cd, another hard drive, etc. Perform a clean
install. Once the new Windows is in and your accounts are setup, reinstall
your programs.

A good "how to" reference site for performing a clean install can be found
