Hi guys & gals! I am thinking of installing WINDOWS XP on
my son's older PC, he is running WINDOWS 98 (SE) now but
the PC he is using is slow. Only Pentium 200MHZ, sad I now
but its only for school projects. So, my question is, will
XP Home Edition run on such a slow PC or is it impossible.
He has about 128 RAM and at least 10G hard drive left.
Comments and advise all appreciated. Happy President's
Day.

I would not do it. His machine is too slow, too little RAM, and too small
hard drive. Plus the hardware may be too old to be compatible with XP. Even
if you can get it to install, I don't think you would be happy with the
operation. Best to leave his computer alone, and replace it when the time
comes.
