Installing WinXP over Win98SE

I got a copy of WinXP home edition, OEM from my computer
repair guy and the compatibility check says I cannot
instal this version as an upgrade from Win98?? I cannot
get help from computer vendor, does anybody know how to
install in this manner?? thanks...Edward

You can't do an upgrade install with OEM. You have to do a clean
install.

OEM copies can not be used for upgrades. Sorry, but the only way
to use it is to do a clean installation.
