Installing WindowsXP on D drive

I have a new computer with windowsXP preinstalled and I
already own a copy of WindowsXP.
So I have added a D drive and would like to be able to
install my old copy of Windows XP on it.
Can it be done? And How?
TIA
 
Run setup from the CD, tell it you want to do a custom installation and
point it to the D: drive.
 
Thank you very much for the quick response.
It was still scary. It was far for obvious that my C drive
was in no danger. But I had faith and it worked.
