Installing windows xp

Gets a "hard error" after rebooting during installtion.
Installation is on new hard drive by western digital and
is 60 gb. Formatted with fat 32 and has 2 partitions.
Processor is 1.2 ghz athlon. Any help on how to get
install to continue/finish would be appreciated and also
information on obtaining a win xp boot disk.

60 gb. Is to large for FAT32 you'll have to go over to NTFS
Is this a new install? There is no Win xp boot disk.
You'll need to go into your setup and make the CD the
first boot. Good Luck!

The boot disk for XP is a set of 6 floppies called Boot Setup disks. You can
get them at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q310994
XP Home Pro with + without sp1
The limit for fat 32 format is 32 GB. You should be able to use the bootable
CD to partition + format. make sure no prt. is larger than 32 GB even if you
have to make 3 or 4 partitions.
