I am trying to replace ME with Windows Home Edition on a
Compaq Presario 5000. The Upgrade Report indicates that my
current Network adaptor is a Network Telesystems P.P.P.o.E.
(NTSP3. When I install XP I am not able to get into the
Internet. Microsoft and SBC ( my DSL provider) say I have
to upgrade the network driver to make it compatible. How
do I do that?

This is frustrating.

Thanks.

Use any generic driver. Did you try going to windows update and manually
searching for drivers while using ME. Professional has the driver you
need so search for it under pro if you have no luck under home
