Help please to determine problem. I have following computer configuration:

MB: MSI-7242, K9AGM, based on ATI chipset RS485. Sout bridge SB600 with
RAID/ACHI integrated

HDD: WD3200JS SATA-2 8MB cache NCQ

I downloaded latest driver for SB600 and controller and attached it to Setup
by pressing F6, but cannot install Windows XP. Setup programm still "cannot
find any hard disks installed in your computer".

May it be conflict, occurs beetwen hard disk interface and controller?

With 2 SATA hds connected to SATA/RAID ports, enter BIOS,set for RAID,
by default most boards even with RAID disable this from factory. You should
have 2 or 3 settings to adjust,once thru,exit,after BIOS,press the keyboard
tabs to configure a RAID set (this post BIOS config.must get displayed at
every
start-up or restart),once thru,with xp cd set as 1st priority,hds 2nd,press
a key
to xp cd,press F6,install floppy,select controller,repeat,at 3rd menu,press
enter key, install xp....Also, "read owners manual".

To Andrew E.

I have 1 hdd installed

F6 option I had already tryied with 5 different drivers and w/o any drivers

PS: I know how to activate RAID option

Double check the mobo manual and the bios options, ensure the sata is
connected to the 'right' controler connection. Maybe try a different sata
cable. I assume the drive is known good.

In a newly-built PC with SATA drives and the BIOS options correctly defined,
I couldn't install base XP correctly even with the necessary drivers being
loaded at F6 time.

For a correct install, I had to use a custom XP install-CD with SP2
slipstreamed in. "nLite" http://www.nliteos.com/index.html really made
producing this CD easy for me.
