Would like to install Windows XP Home addition on a old
hard drive that has Windows NT 4.0. Cannot figure out how
to remove the old NT partition from HD and start fresh.
Any ideas?

My XP CD has it's own HD formatter with options for FAT32 and NTFS. When I
need to re-install Windows, I just boot to my XP CD, and go from there.

The XP CD is bootable. Just insert the cd into your cd-rom and reboot your
machine (make sure your cd-rom is set as first boot option in the bios
first). During setup you will have the option to delete a partition and
create a partition. Just delete the NT partition and create a new one for xp
to install on.
