Give your computer to someone who knows what he's doing. You don't.

You want a solution to what? Human error?

Give it to someone with more experience doing whatever it is you originally
set out to do and/or have them come watch/help you do it.

After reading your post - not only do I not know what you were originally
intending to do, I am not even sure what you ended up doing and what you
want to do now. More details would be needed to unravel the confusion.

"More drives",as in more than 1 physicall hard drive,or several partitions
on the drive..Either way,on any xp install one must unplug other hds till
xp is
up & running. If its multiple volumes, simply boot to xp cd,press r at menu
screen,
at recovery, no need to select 1 for C: & no need for password since no OS is
installed,simply type:DiskPart In DiskPart,delete the unwanted partitions
(or all
of them),create one, press ESC key when thru, type:EXIT Reboot to xp
cd,install
xp,delete partition(s),create one,let xp format & install auto.

Go jump into a frozen lake. Maybe it will wake you up since you have no idea what
you are talking about. Get a life

That's complete nonsense. That statement is simply false.

And some people know how to converse with those from other cultures.
You don't. And some dont' waste ether when they have nothing to say.
You do. Some people are powerless and think they can regain their power
by going after others. You can't. You darned near don't exist other
than wasting good skin.

You must've liked Shenan Stanley's reply too:

This message was brought to you by the letters F and U.

start system with XP CD and pretend your installing to the drive you wish to
format
..format during that procedure and then quit
