I have a laptop with no cd-rom drives, but it does have a bootable
external floppy. I recently decided to install windows 2000 on the
laptop and I ran into a problem. I cannot get setup to recognize the
Iomega ZipCD 650 usb cd-rom drive (but it can recognize the floppy
drive).
Getting desperate, I pulled out the hard drive, put it in an
external hard drive enclosure, formatted it to FAT32, and copied the
I386 folder (from my windows 2000 setup cd) to the now empty hard
drive.
How do I get the machine to start running setup and finally install
windows 2000? If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

- James Haynes
