Installing win 95 game on win 2000

I just got an copy of the original Close Combat, and when
I go to install it, it says I have an incorrect version of
windows. I tried looking at the compatibility mode

But that was not much help. How can I get this thing
working??

this shows how to play the game; assuming Win2K allows you to install it !!
I've installed a Win95-era game-- with error messages all over the place;
after SP4, it appears that it was installed anyway..

unfortunately, the conmpatibility route [ using program from my Win2K
installation disk ] hasnt been working for any of my old games--so far--
keep getting problems with system and system32 files and dll's ..
too bad
