Installing W2k Pro

How do I tell if the boot device I want to use is enabled
in the BIOS? I'm doing a clean install of Win2k Pro, and
the BIOS says to use the <INS> key to enable or disable
boot devices. An exclamation point (!) toggles on and off
next to the selected boot device when the <INS> key is
toggled, but the help window doesn't say whether the "!"
means the device is enabled or disabled. Which is which?

Thanks.

Check the instructions for your mb or try their web site.

| Thanks, but, what's an "mb" and who's website are you
| referring to?

In this context Dave obviously was using "mb" as
an abbreviation for motherboard (AKA mainboard).

"mobo" is used more often than "mb".

The website is the mobo manufacturer's.
Check the instructions for your mb or try their web site.

Thanks, but I'm using a laptop, so I don't have access to
the mb.

Then you'll want to check the laptop or bios manufacturer's web site.
