Hi and thanks for reading,
I've been using Vista since Beta 2 and in a week or two, I'll be buying a
new computer from my friend. (Really good one!)
And my question is, is there a way to boot the computer from the DVD (The
HDD has been formatted) and then install Vista as the sole OS?

One post in a 20 minute time frame is more than sufficient.
You boot from the Vista DVD just as you would boot from any other CD/DVD.

Look, I am sorry about all those posts, all of them came out as; You failed
to post try again.
And can I really just boot the DVD without ANYTHING on the HDD?

If you didn't get it, I don't know how to do it so please explain.

Yes you can, that's the whole point of having a bootable OS installation
disk. You can boot from the DVD with NO hard drive at all if you wanted to.

Insert bootable DVD in DVD drive, set boot order in BIOS to boot from DVD
drive before hard drive,
