Installing Virtual Server R2 on machine running XP pro

I have noticed that installing Virtual Server R2 2005 on a machine running XP
pro is not recommended due to production issues. Why is this?
 
I have researched this issue and the only thing that I can find is "it is not
recommended to install Virtual Server on XP Pro due to production issues.
