My computer came with Windows XP Home Edition, SP2 already installed. No CD
was included.

Short of purchasing a CD with Windows XP Home Edition with SP2, is there any
wasy to install the Recovery Console on my computer?

Though XP w/SP2 came installed the manufacturer is required to provide you a
method to reinstall XP if necessary. On many systems there is a partition on
the hard drive that contains this software. Usually the procedure is for you
to burn this to a CD and, therby, having your own CD of XP.

Check with the manufacturer and or re-read the owners manual.

Actually with xp SP2,the boot-up version of recovery isnt available unless
its
installed before SP2,recovery is always available by booting to xp cd
(retail)..
You might tap the F8 key on starting pc,see if its already installed. If
not,go to
the pc mfg web site, search for how or where is it available to you....
