I currently have 50 Winterminals that connect to a
Windows 2000 Terminal Server. The problem I am having is
since the Thinclients are running the actual programs
from the Server via a Session and using Internet
Explorer, no Sound is being Generated by the server since
there is no Sound Card installed. Is there a problem
installing a Sound Card on such server so 50 Clients can
be able to view and listen to certain websites requering
Sound. Will this create a problem since the sound card
will be shared by 50 Users.

Actually, even if you did install a sound card onto the
server it wouldn't matter. All the devices in a terminal
servics session are virtualized, which means that even if
you didn't have a video card in your server, the server
would create a virtual video card for your terminal
services users to view their sessions with.

If you need sound to be heard at the winterms, then you
might want to upgrade to Windows 2003 or use a third party
addon, like Citrix MetaFrame, both which give your clients
the ability to hear audio.
