Installing Sims 2

I have recently installed the Sims 2. There are three users on the system and
each user seems to use the same game i.e. if I play the game and save, the
next user goes into the same game and doesn't seem to be able to play their
own game. I can't see any way of saving individual games and then playing the
requested game. I am running Windows Vista and I had to download a patch from
Maxis when I installed the Sims 2.

I am logging in and out of the different users. There doesn't seem to be an
EA Games folder in the My Documents folder for the two standard users, only
in my user which is set up as 'administrator'.

I have also noticed that these files and folders are 'shared'. I have
disabled 'shared files' in windows, but this doesn't seem to have done the
trick.

I would be grateful for any advice you can give.
Thanks

Someone PLZ answer Jacqui's question. I have the same concern. Will I have
to have my sons play games as an Administrator? I hope VISTA overcame this
problem Jacqui , I, and many other parents have had with XP. I hope they can
play as Standard users and have their own game files.

DOES ANYONE OUT THEIR KNOW? or did I miss something obvious?

Many thanks!

After much scratching of heads my brother and I solved the problem by
turning off User Account Control in the Security Center of the Control Panel.
Don't ask me why it works - I'm keeping my mouth shut just in case...

Hope this helps.

That sounds like it have have some security problems. But I am glad to know
of a work around way to handle it. I hope there is something better in VISTA.

ANYONE else have any info on Standard Users and gaming?

Thanks for your response, Jacqui,
Linda
