I have Word 2002 (Office XP Standard Suite). How do I
install a Russian keyboard that would show cyrillic
characters?

Start by looking up "Russian" in Help. You should see topics that will give
directions specific to your version of Windows.

Please respond in the same thread on this newsgroup. Make sure you
include details of your application and Windows versions, and whether
or not you have included any service pack updates.

Hi

The keyboard itself is Control Panel, Regional and language settings,
languages, details.

As for the rest such as fonts and codes, I've no idea concerning Russian.

Good luck

Word has no control over keyboard - MS Windows does.
So you need to activate Russian fonts and keyboard in Windows itself
and then you can freely type in Russian in MS Word.
Please see Fonts and Keyboard section of my site (the very end
of the keyboard section describes work in MS Word).
