Hello everybody,

I installed the last release of Windows Vista (RC2) and I tried to install
other programs I usually need. They are development environments and other
and they are not Microsoft Products. I am not able to install these products
because the installations stops when I launch the wizard. The problem could
seem an incompatibility with Windows Vista Areo. I disabled Aero but I have
the same problems. Is it possible to solve this problem or I have to wait the
new release of these applications?

Many thanks for the help and bye,
Giordano

Hello,

Try running the installer in compatibility mode: right-click the exe, click
Compatability, choose Windows XP. Also, you may need to run the program "as
administrator" by right-clicking it and clicking Run As Administrator.

Hallo,

I've a similar problem. I tried to run a freeware, but an error message
came, that the program can not be installed. With the option install as an
administrator the installation worked fine. What is the reason for this error
message? What has to be changed with this program?

Does somebody know? Looking forward for your help!

Regards, Jan

compatibility mode is offered automatically by Vista if a setup will fail
