i am having trouble with programs not being useabe by anyone other than the administrator.

the setup:

XP Pro workstation, only user is administrator, validates logins from 2000 server
2000 Server, running Active Directory.

when i install a program like Office 2000 Pro to the XP pro workstation, i can only access it from the installing login (administrator. tried using local and domain administrator logins)

after i install office and log in as a different domain user the program wants to install itself again.
of course this is no good as 99% of my users do not have administrator privledges.

Help! :-)

Thanks

Office does this - it's not a domain or XP thing.

It is completing a "Run Once" or "Run for First time use".
It simple is creating all the directories and setting per
user.

Did you install from CD or network? Shouldn't make a
difference tho, it should let you continue to run the app
even if it can't find the origional source media.
