Installing Powerpoint for Office 2000 Pro

I recently purchased Office 2000 Pro and every application
will install except Powerpoint. I can see it on the disk,
but it does nto havethe Powerpoint Icon next to it, just a
plain application icon.

I called Microsoft, but they told me that a problem like
that is not covered and I cannot even return the software.

Any help would be appreaciated.

What do you mean, the plain application icon? Probably what you're
seeing are Office install files, so those wouldn't have the PPT icon.

What happens when you try to install PowerPoint? Actually, since the
other programs are already installed, you should be installing
Office--running a custom install--and choosing to add PowerPoint.

Well, it sounds as if the software's probably okay, so I can understand
not being able to return it. However, I think you get installation
support. I'd probably call back and tell them I'm having an installation
problem.
