installing powerpoint 2003

I had purchased a msppoint 2003 software in 01/2004. Recently I purchased a
new computer that I had office 2003 installed on. I can not get powerpoint
2003 to install with office 2003. It keeps telling me that I need an older
version of office to install the software. Suggestions please.
 
My guess is that your computer has Office 2003 Basic Edition installed on it.
My further guess is that in January, you purchased the "Upgrade" version of
PowerPoint 2003 because you had a previous version of PowerPoint installed on
your system. Am I right so far?

The PowerPoint 2003 upgrade is only good with Office 97, 2000, or 2002, or the
standalone versions of PowerPoint 97, 2000, or 2002. Do you have your old CD's?
