Installing Power point templates

L

Louis

I have several downloaded power point templates that I
got from Microsoft's website.

To use these templates I had to install them
in "c:\windows\application data\microsoft\template". It
worked fine until I shifted to Windows XP and Office
2003. Now I dont find the specified folder. Where do I
install the templates such that they become a permanent
part of Power point? I have tried installing them to
the "Template" folder in the "Microsoft Office" folder.
But it does not work.

Louis,

As you've discovered, the location is different. I have mine stored in:

C:\Documents and Settings\TEMP\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

Where TEMP would be your user name. Also, this information may help about
saving templates in a location you can access:

Create your own template folder in PowerPoint 2000 and later

Hope that helps.
