installing patch

Beyazit Kucukali

i'm trying to update my system with the patch named
WindowsXP-KB823980-x86-TRK.exe to avoid the msblast
virus. The installation begins but does not continue or
seems to be like that. I see the computer's light
flickers which means it is writing on the disk but this
continues hours and hours and finishes not.

anyone can help me ?

For Windows in English you need the "ENU" version. You have the "TRK"
version (I do not know what language that is, Turkish?) Make absolutely
sure your Windows and the Patch languages match up. Even if you are not in
the USA and not speaking English every day, you still need whatever your
computer understands.
