I am using a computer that has the trail version of Office preinstalled on
it. The trial date has already expired, so I am left with the disabled
version. I have installed and use Excel and Word 2000 very infrequently and
have no motivation to upgrade those to any newer versions. I do want
Outlook 2003, so I purchased it seperately, and it appears that I am
installing it correctly (it asks for the product key, etc.) but when I open
Outlook, the dialogue for buying the full version of Office comes up and I am
unable to use just the newly purchased Outlook product key to register. I
appear to be stuck in the student-teacher trial version. How can I install
just Outlook 2003 and have it be fully functional? I'd be glad to uninstall
the trail version, but every post I've seen suggests going to the control
panel and remove the trail version from there, but it is not listed as a
removable program. If I manually remove the Office folder, the computer
reintalls the trial version before I can use any other Office product. Any
suggestions?
