Doing an install from SBS 2003. It states installation is successful. When
you try to run it, it starts then says its incurred errors would you like to
try safe mode, that fails and then it ask is you want to run repair, run
that it says successful. Then you try to restart and its the same thing all
over again.

I have tried remove program from control panel and reinstall. Remove and
rename folder. Still same scenario.

I tried to do an install from the setup.exe in the client apps folder on the
server. I get a screen with an X -Outlook not available. I hit finish and
it starts an installation.

I am totally frustrated. Trying to install to my laptop Toshiba Sat. But i
dont think thats the problem.

Help we upgraded to XP so we could run the Windows 2003 and now cant get it
loaded.
Thanks

does the event viewer have an information about what is causing the error?

did you upgrade over a previous version of outlook or do a clean install? if
an upgrade, try a new profile.

I tried to do a fresh new install from a newly purchased copy of Outlook
same results. Application log from time I started install (approximately
3:00) What else do you need? One event seemed particularly strange to me
its included.
This laptop has a 800 Celeron processor can that be part of the problem?

Problem was solved in the following way: After purchasing a standalone
version of Outlook installed and had same errors. Did a remove through
control panel. Outlook did not show up on start menu or through explorer,
But still showed as installed on add remove in control panel. On install
shows a screen with Outlook listed but with a large X in front and caption
not available.
Went to add remove and selected change. Outlook listed on a disc icon as
"not available" drop down allowed me to remove unavailable. Finished change.
Outlook now runs, share calendars works, email etc. I still dont know how
the problem developed or what really fixed it. I have 4 more machines to
install so we will see if it was with the licenses from the server. Any
insight you have would be appreciated.
Thanks for you help Diane
