HI,

I have two users (both 'administrators') on my new Dell
using XP. I want to install Office suite such that both
users can see it in their START/PROGRAMS.

What directory should I install it so that this happens?

Please send me an email. I appreciate your help!

Thanks Hustedj!

I tried that. However, I can only see office installed on
the start/programs when i log onto the id that I used to
install it. I do not see it under the other id.

any thoughts?

also, i tried this 3 times using the install/uninstall swr
windows program. should i be concerned that the uninstall
program did not remove all the files? have i cluttered my
hard drive? should i reformat?

thanks

The basic/typical install of Office normally places the shortcuts in the
"All Users" profile.

Easy...

Right click Start and select Explore all users

Navigate to the folder "start menu -> programs" that belongs to the user
that has the office icons.

Select the office icons and then right click -> cut

Navigate to the folder "All users->start menu -> programs" and select paste.

If you want everyone to have desktop short cuts as well then there is an All
users folder for desktop icons as well - works the same way.
