Hello:
I am trying to install Office 2000 Developer on a Win XP pro machine. The
instructions tell me to copy the contents of the Access Runtime folder to the
following location: ...\Program Files\Microsoft Office\ODETools\V9\Runtime.
The only problem is I don't have a file folder ODETools and any of the
sub-folders listed in the path. Am I to simply create the new folders or did
I miss something in the installation of my Office 2000?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Office 2000 Developer is 3 versions old, so I'm not 100% sure any more.

However, if my memory severs me correctly, those directories are created
*after* you install "Office 2000 Developer," not after just installing
Office 2000 Professional.

Good luck.

Those are the instructions for copying the runtime files to the local hard
disk so that you don't get prompted for the CD every time you create a
runtime package, yes? Is so, yes, go ahead and create the folder.

Brendan:
Thanks for the help. Another question.....

When I go to package my project and try to include the access runtime I get
prompted to insert my CD and browse to the locaiton of the access runtime
folder. I know once I locate the access runtime folder I can copy it to my
local hard-drive so I don't have to insert the CD each time. My problem is I
can not locate the access runtime folder on my 2nd CD of my Office2000
developer cd as per thier instructions. Any ideas?

Thanking you in advance for you help.

Thanks

I don't *have* a second Developer CD. I have a single Developer CD, and the
run-time files are in the folder D:\ODETools\v9\AccessRT
