Hello There,
I obtained a visual studio .net which I installed a few months ago but then
never had time to use. I obtained a new copy of the trial which is slightly
newer.
However, because I have lost my original installation DVD, I cannot remove
the first installation to do a reinstall that will prompt me to enter a new
activation code.
When I use my new DVD, it does a repair install but does not prompt me for a
new code and claims the trial has expired when complete. However, when I try
to remove the installation through Control panel, it does not remove because
it required the original installation DVD, and does not recognise my new DVD
as this DVD.
So what can I do? It seems that I cannot remove this software at all without
the original DVD
An alternative to removing (in the short term) would be to change the
activation code of my installed software to the new one I have received so I
get another 60 day trial.
Can anyone help on this matter.
TIA and regards
Dave.
