Installing new program changes computer colors

I recently installed a new game on my computer. Tonka Construction 2. System
requirements: Windows 95/98. I have installed other games with the same
requirements.

But I am experiencing a problem with this one. Long explanation so please bear
with me. Thanks.

If you go to your desktop and single click on an icon, it will become shaded
with blue. Same for the start menu, when you move the cursor to an item in the
All Programs it will highlight it in blue.

Well, when I installed this game, all the highlights have become green.

I tried going to the compatability tab and changing it to be compatible with 95
and then 98 but it still came up green. I uninstalled the game and everything
was still green. Only way to get it back to blue was to do a system restore to
a date before I installed this game. Now everything is back to blue.

Does anyone know what happened? Is this game incompatible with XP. Would it
be safe to leave it? I really don't like the green.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know what happened, but to change your colors:
right click desktop, properties, appearance tab, advanced, change colors as
you like, including the highlight color.

I tried that, but when I went to the tab under highlight, it was still marked
blue. The highlights still remained green.

Hmmm..... that's interesting. The game must have some issues with XP. Maybe
look for a patch from the game makers or leave it uninstalled.
