If I install outlook 2003 over 2002, will my address
book, messages and shortcuts be maintained. If not, how
can I protect them.

thank you.

Thanks for the answer, but it brought to mind a couple
more questions. What happens to the emails I moved to my
shortcuts? My sent messages? My deleted messages?

Sorry to bother you.

don't be sorry, it's my own fault being in this newsgroup ;-)

When you move mail to your shortcut it will go to the folder to which that
shortcut points to and that folder resides in the pst file. The pst holds
all the mail a shortcut is just a pointer to a mailfolder. Backing up your
pst-file is enough, you won't lose any data. You'd be surprised how many
settings are saved there too (even views!).
