Installing New Externel Speakers

Hi

I have a Compaq Computer, with a LG Flatron M1917TM 19" Flatscreen Monitor
which has built-in internal speakers. They're not very powerful, and the
sound quality is poor.

I bought a set of Advent Speakers, and have tried to install them.
Unfortunatley they won't work, the sound is still coming from the internal
monitor speakers.

What should I do?

Er, you HAVE plugged an audio line from your soundcard into the Advent
speakers .......... ?

You can also :

1) turn down the volume on the Flatron panel

2) make sure that XP is set up to use desktop speakers > Start > Control
Panel > Sounds etc > in speaker settings select Advanced > select your
speakers etc.
