Installing New Burner

Both my burner and normal disk drives are on "Cable select"....Everythings
pluged in to the right spot.....disk is in the new burner....Nothing
happens...tried going to "My Computer"....doesn't say i have a burner...just
my normal one.....WTF!!!!!
 
And when you asked the burner manufacturer about this problem with your brand new burner which is under warranty, what did they say?

Did the "hardware wizard" install the new burner when you first installed
it? If not go to control panel and run the hardware wizard.It should detect
the new drive and install it.

Does device manager see the new drive? any error codes displayed?

As a last measure run this tool and reboot.

Install Burner software, aka Nero.

Is one of your optical devices have its jumpers set at slave and the
other at master? Does your BIOS recognize it?
