I'm getting an error message that dotnetfx.exe is not a valid Win32
applicaton when I'm trying to install .net 1.1 on a windows 2000 server. What
do I need to do
to install .net 1.1 on a windows 2000 server.

Sounds like the file is corrupt. Try re-downloading it.
