installing MSMoney on XP

when try to install MS Money on new laptop running XP,
get error msg - "money is unable to install on this
computer... try requesting full access to the Local
Machine registry hive"

What the heck does all that mean?? I have had trouble
installing other software that requires online registry
(eg, Works 2002, and Voyetura Record Producer) - and
still cannot have success despite disabling AV and
firewalls etc...

Why won't this new computer register and install
perfectly good software?

Is the version of Money you are trying to install the same country version?

In other words you cannot, for example install a USA version over a UK
version or vice versa...!

Does the ID you are installing on have sufficient permissions? Using an
administrative ID?
