Hi,
Can anybody help me please? I have Window XP and have just tried to install
Microsoft office 97 from CD, but had no luck. The installation was
unsuccessful, as it said,'Htmlmarq.ocx' was unable to register itself inthe
system registry.
Can anyone tell me what I can do next, please?

I've consistantly kept Word97 installed, along with Office 2002 since I got
it, but I've never seen that particular fix. If it works, that's a lot
better than the "surefire" way I have used, which is more work.
In general, to have old/new programs live together, you have to install
the OLDEST one first (or remove the new one), and THEN install the newest
one. Word97 and O2k2 seem to live nicely together that way but I've had no
need to try other old apps.

So, since I'm not inclined to test that new method at the moment, I was
wondering if anyone else here has, and if it worked as advertised, including
renaming the files back to their original names.
Were they are cons in the resusts?

Regards,

Pop
