I am trying to install an old program that allows me to change icons. I
run setup.exe as an administrator and the program installs. However,
in the GUI, the program's icons do not show up. All the other
functions work fine. Suggestions to a complete install?

Vista icons are using a different format, and your legacy program is not
going to work with the new format.

Try installing it in compatibility mode.
Right-click the setup.exe and select Properties.
On the Compatibility tab there are various options about installing
as XP, Win98 etc., whatever worked before.

Tried this too - didn't work. Thanks.

Bummer - but thanks for the info. I didn't know that. Is there a way
to convert the format?
