I recently installed a leadtek winfast TV 2000 XP tv
tuner card. Not thinking when booting the computer, I
allowed windows to install a driver for the card.
However, windows installed drivers for, and now
recognises the card as a 'Multimedia Video Card'. I have
attempted to install the leadtek manufacturers drivers
for the card instead, but windows continues to recognise
the card as a 'Multimedia Video Card' and I am unable to
get the leadtek drivers installed. I have tried to
uninstall the windows drivers but windows keeps
recognising the card as before. I even tried the system
restore, but to no avail. What do I need to do to stop
windows from incorrectly recognising the card?

Many thanks

Try removing the card as well as the Windows drivers
and then rebooting. Then shut down, reinstall the card,
reboot, cancel out of "New hardward found", and install the
manufacturer's drivers.
