Installing HP G55 with Windows XP

HELP!!
Just upgraded to XP and lost the use of my HP g55.
I have..
Upgraded my bios to XP
Checked my ECP settings
Checked my interrupts
Messed with the DMA settings
Upgraded my printer software
Checked my port settings
Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers

My computer (Dell 8100) will NOT detect the printer.

Whats the big secret?!? It just shouldn't be this hard!!

The HP website has XP compatible drivers for your g55 all-in-one Officejet..

I have G55 all in one installed fine on XP Home - have downloaded latest XP
drivers from HP web site. You can order CD instead of downloading. If you
have latest drivers then you should not have any problems.
