installing hard drive

hi all

actually i am reinstalling a drive that was having
problems a while back.

for the life of me i can't remember how to format it. It
doesnt show up in the explorer but is seen by the BIOS
and by Computer Management.

Few things to rememebr
1. How are you installing the drive
2. Will it be a Master or Slave drive
3. Do you have the jumpers set correctly set
4. If it is Master make sure jumpers are set correctly in the Bios
5. Also you can change boot device process and boot to cdrom
6. And that way you can format the drive

Well your not providing a enough info and how the drive is to
be setup, once you provide that one would be better able to help you
but follow the options listed abouve and you may be able to fix it
your self.... Keep me posted
