To try a solution mentioned in this newsgroup to one of my problems I need
to install FrontPage XP in a separate folder from the rest of Office XP.
However the CD I have is called Office XP Professional with FrontPage and,
after uninstalling FrontPage the installer allows me to install it again but
doesn't offer me an installation path.

I've browsed the CD and can't immediately spot a FrontPage-specific
installer so any pointers on how I change the installation path for
FrontPage when using such a CD would be very much appreciated.

I'm running Windows XP too.

Thanks for any help you can give.

(In any private reply please replace the 'cc' in my email address by 'c').

TBMK you can't "split" a MSO version installation from as common installation CD
(MSO XP one place and FP2002 in another place fro a common install disc)

You can only do a complete uninstall and then a custom install of the whole MSO XP w/ FP to a specific folder

Why are you trying to split it

Themes should not be giving you any access violations
- unless they are not installed
- or they were installed and you haven't logged in w/ admin rights
- you are running the FP SE and you (or your network admin) have disabled them in the FP SE admin pages

Log in to your PC w/ admin rights
Reinstall MSO XP w/ FP using the custom mode and select all Programs to run from Hard disc

| I get Access Violation when using Themes in FP XP and I've tried everything
| the newsgroups suggest except installaing FP in a separate folder which
| worked for one person after some advice from Microsoft.
|
| If I can't split this CD then perhaps I can install an earlier sstandalone
| version of FP. Would this conflict with the rest of Office XP do you know?
|
| Thanaks for your help
