Installing from Windows XP boot CD

I recently installed Windows XP from the CD. I now wish
to change the HAL. When I attempt to boot from the CD,
the system stops after the setup begins, on the blue
screen beginning the Windows setup. I have a new
motherboard and all of the BIOS settings are correct to
boot from the CD ROM. Any Suggestions? - Tim

Tim, you must have missed something in the bios setup otherwise it would
have booted from the cd. What motherboard and what bios does it use?

It does boot to the CD but hangs or freezes just after it
enters the setup screen. -tim
