I've noticed when I install certain software I'm asked whether I want to
install
for all users or the current user. I'm the only person on this computer and
I
am not on a network.
What is the difference between the two?
Does install for all users typically take up more disk spacer and/or
resources?

Thanks,
James

It's a matter of permissions (who will be able to use the program) and
whether the program puts its shortcut icon on everyone's Desktops or not.
It's a good idea to install for all users even on a single-user machine
(what if your user account becomes corrupted and you have to make a new
one? what if you decide to make a "visitor" account and want them to be
able to use that program?). It doesn't take up any more room or resources.
