Usually when I install fonts everything works fine, but I downloaded some
last week and when I try and install them I get a message saying that the
font file is currently being used and cannot be replaced. Please wait until
Windows is finished using the file and try again.
I've waited a few days and this still keeps coming up. How do I fix it?

You mean the file you are trying to install?
Sounds like something is corrupt with that font file.

Have you tried others?
(For example - uninstall one and reinstall it.)

I couldn't figure out how to actually uninstall them, but when I delete one
and go to re-install it tells me that the font already exists. When I want to
use it, it won't work.
I don't think its just the file though because I have a few that I
downloaded that day and they all say the same thing.

Couple things just to make sure.
Are you logged in as Administrator? and
Are you installing the proper way, through the control panel, rather
than drap-and-drop?
