Installing Fax (+SP1/1a problem)

I am trying to install Windows Fax on XP Home. The System
Properties window shows that SP1 is installed, yet when I
am prompted to insert my CD of the OS, the error message
shows that the requisite files are not on it. (The CD has
no mention on its label of SP1)

KB article 813926 shows (a) that SP1 is no longer
available, (b) that installation of SP1a is not
recommended on top of SP1. So, how can I get access
please to the files I need. Many thanks.
