Installing drivers during installation

Is there an option to install drivers for a Hard drive controller when doing
a clean install of Vista during the installation process? This will most
likely be configured as a multi boot configuration. I have a feeling Vista
won't see one of my hard drive"s controller during the clean installation
(this is what happened when I first clean installed Vista). I now have the
drivers for that hard drive controller on a floppy. Thanks

J6,

Yes there is. During the GUI configuration when at the hard drive/partition
screen that will allow you to load drivers.

There are some good details here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsvista/readme.mspx

In specific it mentions:
When using the Load driver option during Setup, the following restrictions
apply:

• If you must load more than one storage driver during Setup by clicking
Load driver, only select one driver at a time. To load more than one driver,
add the first driver and click Next, then repeat the Load driver option for
each additional driver.

• In this release of Windows Vista versions of Windows, you will be unable
to install mass storage drivers by using the Load driver option on computers
with less than 256 MB of memory. To work around this problem, add the
additional drivers to the Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE)
before running Setup. Refer to the Windows Automated Installation Kit for
more details about adding drivers to Windows PE.

• In Windows Vista versions of Windows, Unattended Setup does not support
additional drivers. If you must add drivers that are not supplied by Windows
Vista versions of Windows you must perform an attended (interactive) setup.

Hi,
I read this article but my problem is not solved:
I can install RC1 with loading the drivers for my Adaptec SCSI
controller (AHA2940U/UW) from a driver floppy.
But I cannot load this driver during a repair installation booting from
the DVD ("the installation failed").
What can I do as I can no longer boot Vista
(\windows\system32\winload.exe not found).
Run bootsect.exe /nt60 c: did not help.
