Have downloaded a self-extracting game to my Games folder. When clicking on
the setup , I get a box with the message..."Unable to execute file in the
temporary directory. Setup aborted. Error 0-The operation completed
successfully." With an "OK" button below. Didn't download to a temporary
directory and definitely not successfully! Help..how can I open this game ???

Dave....it's not just one game, I've tried a number of them..seems to be ones
that have a "setup.exe" to start them. I've downloaded others with no
problem...I'm stymied !!

If you believe it's an operating system issue you might try an in-place
upgrade.

At the top it just says "Error"...at end of message, it says "Error 0-The
operation completed." Can't seem to find anything on it.

One thing you might try is to run "setup.exe" from the root directory of
C:\ .

Dave...

I think that's a bit too complicated for me to try...I'll just do without
those games! What I can't understand tho, is if I name a file to save the
download in, and it goes there....where does this "temporary directory come
from ?? Oh well, just another mystery, I guess.

WinField....
if my game file setup.exe is in a named folder, how would I run it from C:\
??

Thanks for trying guys....I can do average things on here, but don't want to
get too complicated and screw-up what I've already got !!
