I just installed a new server, im setting up a brand new
network with Win2K servers and AD.

My first machine is now installed with Win2K server -
before I can install AD I have to install DNS service. I
installed DNS, went in and said to make FORWARD and
REVERSE zones...that went fine, I made sure the IP of this
machine was listed as PRIMARY DNS in network settings -
but when I do the simple and recursive tests it fails.

Not sure what the problem is. What else needs to be
done? The default records are created - do I need to add
more? Currently the machine is offline, not connected to
the Internet.

Any ideas??

Setup a forwarder. That should help with those tests.
