I always wondered why after the installation of DNS this has an effect on
the servers internet connectivity.

Could you post the ipconfig/all from your server?

Yep,

I did add the ISP's DNS servers in the Forwarders tab in DNS.

Initially before installing DNS I had those in the 2 NIC interfaces for
primary and secondary DNS Servers.

I have attached a DCDIAG and NETDIAG verbose response from the my home
server.

Wondered if anyone can shed some light into this one.

I do also get the Netlogon appearing in the 'event logs' as well.

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5781
Date: 08/11/2003
Time: 18:40:25
User: N/A
Computer: NS2
Description:
Dynamic registration or deregistration of one or more DNS records failed
because no DNS servers are available.
Data:
0000: b4 05 00 00 ´...

Thx for any responses.

If you configures the server to point to itself for dns, then it needs
to
use "root
hints" or forward to an ISP dns server to resolve dns names on the internet. You may
need to delete the root [signified as a period] if it is present to let this happen.
