I tried to install my (some years old) hp deskjet 930C on my new notebook. Although the plug and play - mode is convenient, it did not install all the features (e.g. double-sided printing). The software that came with the printer was not accepted by the installing procedure on the basis that is was not signed. Moreover the windows update did not work for this purpose. I would like to install the printer with all the features I had in Windows 98. Can anybody help me?
Many thanks in advance.
Wolfgang

Hi;
Drivers for quite a few HP printers running under XP
do NOT offer all of the functionalities found under Win.9X.
Especially for Multi Page Functions.
That's a fact of life and HP's own choosing.
The wording on boxes containing various models from them (still available
in stores) is very misleading.
"Yes": XP drivers are in there.
"No": Multi Page Functions and a few others as previously available under
9X.
I call that a "dirty trick".
